Hope everyone's having a great Saturday ! Today is my husband's 70th birthday and we are up in Arlington expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-75 people to come celebrate with us. SOOOO I'm posting this early and hoping it works to post on the right day! This is my card for Unscripted Sketches this week. Used some American Crafts papers and a new stamp I just got from Lily of the Valley - so in love with their adorable stamps!

The next card is for The Sweet Stop card this week. For this one I pulled out some core'dinations cardstock and used one of the new Tim Holtz embossing folders on it. Then I used this adorable little image, cut it out and put on some of the patterned paper.

Then I have another layout to share - wow I know I've been really putting out more layouts than I've done in awhile but Kim took such fabulous pictures of Madison I could scrap her all day. This one I struggled with horribly - sometimes you know when you get such an awesome picture you think - wow can't wait to scrap it - well I spent an entire day going through papers and shuffling them around - putting them away - pulling more out until I finally came on these old Daisy Bucket papers - I LOVE them - I love the way their papers feel! So here is my beautiful 13 year old granddaughter, Madison. Love you sweetie! Thanks for stopping by!

Designed 2 Delight Embellishment Tutorial

Designed 2 Delight is happy to present several tutorials to show how you make your own embellishments. My embellishment is to make your own paper flower. Our Design Team is participating in the digital challenge over at Crafter's Digital Art Center. Also, I wanted to mention that over at Designed 2 Delight there will be 5 images this month so be sure to participate each week so that Faith will email you the next image that we will be using.

For this I used my Cuttlebug machine and some Spellbinder cutting plates. I used the smallest ones of two different sets but you can use any machine and die cut that you want. I cut out several of each one using two sided paper.

Then I arranged them flipping every other one to show the other side of the paper.
I stacked them and then punched a hole in the middle.
Then add a brad of your choice.
Then starting with the top one I squeeze and fold in each layer -separately so that they fold in different.
Then done! Just add to your card or page.

Monday!

Wow not often I get to post on Monday but had to take my son over to take his accuplacer tests for college this year - yeah I know - down to the wire. Has to be registered and paid by the 29th! But if I hadn't done what I've done for him so far he wouldn't even be registered. It's taken me a month to get him to go and take these tests! Soooo we waited in line after line - waited while he spent 1 1/2 hours taking the tests - waited again another hour to get him a place in the "group counseling" class he has to take BEFORE he can register AND he has to go back tomorrow for that! AND if he's late he will have to wait another 3-4 hours before he can take the "next" class. AND I won't be with him which seems to be the only way anything ever gets done! Ok on a brighter note - this is my first time to participate in this challenge but I'm so in love with these stamps I think I will be doing it more often. This is for the sketch challenge on the Lily of the Valley Blog.

Everything except the stamp (of course from Lily of the Valley) is from a Noel Mignon kit - these were mostly Webster's Pages papers.

Happy Saturday

Happy Saturday - took off yesterday and scrapped alot. Kim too some fabulous pictures of my granddaughter, Madison, and I just gobbled them up from her and we both scrapped with them today. Will share a few here and will post the page I did tomorrow when I can get some light. But for now I will share some Design Team cards I have. First of all is my card for Unscripted Sketches this week. For this one I used some Webster's Pages. Just in that kind of mood.

The next card is for The Sweet Stop. I was up at Kim's when I made this and used all her goodies including this embossing folder that I don't have and now I have to have. Core'dinations cardstock of course for that. Then a cute stamp she had from Jillibean. Got to have these for sure!
Then this week over at My Sketch World they are having a Houston Crop Party and one of the challenges is to lift a card from one of the top 20 Gallery Idols from Papercrafts Connection.
I lifted a card by Shemaine Smith. For mine I used a Unity Stamp Company stamp and some My Mind's Eye patterned papers.Next I have a card to share from my Design Team work for Faith over at Designed 2 Delight. This is with some Sassafras Lass papers and a digital image I got from Faith's store.

Now I will share just a few of the wonderful pictures Kim took of Madison. Boy is she going to be a beautiful young woman! She has such a wonderful spirit and it's so exciting watching her bloom! The page I did with an old (february 2010) Noel Mignon kit that I finally pulled out.

Can't wait to scrap these!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sunday Sharing

Sunday already! Have a few cards to share with you. The first one is for the sketch at Card Patterns this week. For this I have used some Core'dinations papers and a little My Mind's Eye. I just got some new Tim Holtz embossing folders and I'm in LOVE! Awesome - love this brickwork pattern . The card is for my favorite aunt, Sunny, who is turning 100 the 31st of July! WOW! Wish I could go to her party (in California) BUT it's also my husband's big 70! We are having a huge party for him so that came first.

The next card is for two challenges. The first is the sketch at Get Sketchy and the second is for the digitial image Faith has this week over at Delightful Inspiration. Papers are Basic Grey.

Ok sneaking back in and putting in another card to this post. Seemed silly to post just one. Here's my card for CPS this week. Alot of Core'dinations and embossing.
Then I did this page for the Inspiration Color Challenge at Color Combos this week. These are hard for me for some reason but I'm plowing through and determined to master it! The papers are all from the latest Noel Mignon kit and the little girl is my dh's great-granddaughter, Kayla, while we were down in Padre early this summer.

Then finally some pictures of all the flowers in my yard - well some of them. The early rain we had is giving Texas a beautiful colorful summer. This is a sage bush what just glows with purple flowers after rain.
This year my crepe myrtle are just blowing their hearts out. I have about 15 around my house from these dark pink/red to white to purple in the back. So far the pink/red and white are going nuts - the purple are just starting.
