Core'diantions and Queen & Co.

This entire week Core'dinations is revealing cards and layouts created by the Design Team with all the goodies we have been given to use from Queen & Co. There embellishments are fabulous and work with almost every card and page. I find myself reaching for something on almost everything I do. Here are a couple of pages that I have done with Core'dinations cardstock together with some of the products from Queen & Co. On this first one I have used some of their felt and pearls to create a border down my page.

On this page I have used some their felt flowers, buttons and pearls to add to my page. Can you also see behind my pictures the fabulous new embossing folder I got from Tim Holtz. Love this folder and of course sanding the core'dinations cardstock gives it so much more pop. Then along the bottom of the page I cut up some of the felt and stuck them on separately instead of as a border, adding some pearls for bubbles. Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Sharing

Doing the marathon of laundry - I don't know how my kids can go through so many clothes in a week. With Brandy home for awhile it's like we have 50 people living here! But here I've got a couple of cards and a page to share. First is for this week's sketch over at Card Patterns. I've used some Core'dinations cardstock and papers and embellisments from Noel Mignon kit together with one oh my new stamps from Lilly of the Valley.

Then for the CPS sketch this week I decided to play with some Core'dinations cardstock. This is from the Jenni Bowlin collection. The rub-ons are from Pink Paisley and the punch is from Martha Stewart, button from Jillibean Soup. This card is for the image this week from Designed 2 Delight. I used some Dream Street papers here.

Here's one of my Christmas cards I'm working on (have somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 to do. I'm working my way through last year's Noel Mignon Christmas kit. They are so huge I'm sure I'll have plenty of paper to get all the cards done. The image is from Sweet and Sassy digital stamps. I think he's just the cutest!
Then this week over at Color Combo I made this page with more Noel Mignon kit goodies. This is my beautiful granddaughter, Madison again here.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow morning for me to show you a couple of pages I did for Queen & Co. and Core'dinations!

Saturday cards once again

More Design Team cards today. Spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Austin at the CCRN (critical care) and am studying like crazy for taking the test just as soon as I can. Paid out the gazoo to sign up to take the CNRN (Neuro) test the end of October so need to get this one out of the way asap. Then will have lots of pretty letters after my name! And I have started on my Christmas Card making marathon. I have about 50 office friends and the best way I have found to give everyone a little something is to make them each a card. I've found that if I start in September and target for 5 cards a week - I can easily have them done without stressing out trying to get them done at the last minute. Course I have another 15 or so for immediate family that have come to expect a hand made card as well. Needless to say I never get anything submitted around Christmas time for publication - they all get mailed out!

First off today I want to share my card for The Sweet Stop. I flipped the sketch and used some Imaginisce Papers/ Core'dinations Cardstock.

The next card is for Unscripted Sketches. For this I used an image from Designed 2 Delight and some papers from a Noel Mignon kit and Core'dinations Cardstock.I just heard I have some of the new Core'dinations Graphic 45 papers coming my way! Can't wait to get to play with them! I actually went and bought some of the Graphic 45 Christmas collection in preparation for getting the Core to go with it - cannot wait. Nothing like new product to work with. Come back Monday to see some of the project I made combining Core'dinations cardstock with Queen & Co. Queen & Co. is being featured together with the Core'dinations Design Team this entire week and into next week to show you some of the wonderful creations the team has put together with their wonderful products. You can check it out here but be sure to go back each and every day as Ellen is uploading new projects on a daily basis.
Thanks for stopping by - sure there will be more tomorrow.

Sunday cards

Got another busy week ahead. This week I'm headed Tuesday to Austin to a CCRN workshop. Two day seminar. After last week's 2 day seminar I'm about worn out. Then comes the hard part though studying and taking the certifications. -UGH!!! Well here to share a few cards today - spent most of the day trying to get some stuff submitted and just cleaning house and all that yucky Sunday stuff. The first card here is for the sketch at Card Patterns. I've used some Crate Papers and a Unity stamp for this one. Brandy is in Chicago this weekend with friends and for the first time ever she hasn't fallen in love with the place she's visiting. This time she said she actually can't wait to come home - a major first. So I guess her moving plans will go back to California. Still waiting to see how she does without her family around - she's definitely a family girl.

The next card is a combination of the Sketch Saturday card sketch and the Designed 2 Delight digital image for the week. For this one I used some American Crafts papers. I also added some Sparkly Fluff to my little monkey to give him some texture.

The last card here is for the sketch over at CPS this week. Pulled out one of my new Lily of the Valley stamps and some Jillibean papers.
Hope you all have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.

Saturday cards with a twist!

This week I have a couple of cards for Design Team work that have used a sketch with a twist! The first card is for the sketch at Unscripted Sketches. The twist is to use something besides a die cut for the flowers on your card. For mine I used ribbon and stitched and pulled it up into a flower. Then I sprintzed it with Shimmerz. The cardstock behind it is some of the Core'dinations papers combined with Jenni Bowlin which I sanded a little.

Then for the next card this week - this is the sketch over at The Sweet Stop. The twist for this week is school theme. For my card I used some stamps from SUink and the papers from Best Creations.

Then a couple of layouts to share as well. The first one is for the challenge over at Color Combo Galore using this color combo together with a sketch and a time challenge to complete your page in 30 minutes. For this I used a Noel Mignon kit (mixed kits actually) and some Core'dinations Vintage cardstock. This is my youngest daughter, Brandy (L), with my granddaughter, Madison and Brandy's friend, Liz. They had spent a day with Brandy's sister's Becky and Kim (Madi's mom) and had a fabulous time. Madi of course, loves the Aunt attention.
Then this last page I did with another Noel Mignon kit together. This is little Brayden (our heart baby for whom I have asked for so many prayers), together with his new baby brother, Cason, who so far has no health problems. I have a couple of layouts I will try to post along with this in the morning. Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Sharing

Well it's quiet around here - kids are all up at Kim's (my oldest daughter). I'm JEALOUS! Wish I could play too. Jason starts college on the 23rd. I have two conferences in the next two weeks - one here in town on Neuro and one in Austin to prepare to take the CCRN. I hope to take both tests when I get done - my brain should be fried! Well off to share today - not getting much done in here but am getting my house in order. The card is for Card Patterns this week. I found this really old Pebbles papers that I have kept scraps of because I loved the line. The stamps are from Unity Stamp Company.

Then this week over at Color Combo's Galore the Inspiration for this week's challenge is this color combo with the door. I knew I wanted these pictures of Madison for this - perfect. I'm trying to get Kim to take pictures of Brandy and Jason like this while they are up there. All the papers are from the Noel Mignon kit (mostly Crate Paper here). I added some Chocolate Box Cardstock from Core'dinations to create my windows.

Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday Cards!

Happy Saturday - it's been a REALLY long week at work - lots of patients wanting to transfer across the country and just all the drama of a trauma hospital. Sometimes I swear the less patients I have the more work I have! Don't understand but seems to be the way it works! Ok on to share some cards! OH YEAH BUT FIRST!!! I'm off to see Step Up 3 in 3D tomorrow with my daughter and son - FUN!!!! Can't wait! TWITCH!!! Yeah!
Ok my first card is for Unscripted Sketches - for this card I used one of the new Lily of the Valley stamps I got and some Jillibean - just seemed like a good combination!

My second card is for The Sweet Stop this week. For this card I used another stamp from Lily of the Valley and some papers from a Noel Mignon kit.

For my last card (well may post more later today if I get to play!), I did this for the sketch over at 2 sketches 4 you. I pulled out some Best Creations as well as a digi I have.
Lastly I have a page I did for the Color Combo this last week. This is our newest addition, my niece, Tara's little boy.
Then had to show off this picture - this is my aunt, Sunny, who was always my absolute FAVORITE!! Look she's celebrating her 100th birthday (July 31st). We didn't get to go as how it was also my husband's 70th birthday and we had a blowout celebrations for him here. But I did get my cousin to send me some pictures which I know my mother was so excited to see!I have some wonderful memories of going to her house - because she fit her knickname to a T. Wonderful, delightful, SUNNY person!
